ITINERARY

19th November : LE BOURGET - RIO DE JANEIRO (flight time 11h30)

And here you are. The great departure date for your World Trip has arrived. You are going to step onto your private jet and take off for Rio de Janeiro. Lunch will be served on board and when you arrive at the end of the afternoon you will be settled into your hotel where dinner will be served.

20th November : RIO DE JANEIRO

You are ready to start your exploring, and for the first day you are going on an orientation and discovery tour of Rio de Janeiro. Throughout the various stages of the day you will, of course, see Sugar Loaf mountain and the imposing Corcovado mountains that watch over the Bay and Copocobana. For a supplement, you could even fly over Rio by helicopter. You will get a taste for the atmosphere in Brazil when you have a Carioca lunch and then dinner with a samba show.

21st November : RIO DE JANEIRO - LIMA - CUSCO (flight time 5h45 + 1h20)

You are flying off to Lima this morning.

If you have decided to stay in Lima, your afternoon dedicated visiting the Larco museum where you will have the chance to admire numerous pieces of Pre-Columbian art. You will then have dinner in the capital’s renowned Huaca Pucllana restaurant, where you will be dazzled by the daring but highly successful combination of traditional food and contemporary cuisine.

If you have decided to continue onto Cusco, as soon as you land you will go on an excursion and then book into your hotel for dinner and for the night. 

22nd November : LIMA OR MACHU PICCHU

If you have stayed in Lima, our guide will take you on a tour through history of « the kings’ city », which was the most important city in the Spanish-ruled region for many years. There are a great number of vestiges of this era, including the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo convent which you will visit. You will then have lunch in a hacienda and taste local dishes in traditional surroundings. You will follow this with a stroll around the artisanal market for some shopping. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

If you have gone to Cusco, you will enjoy a train trip with panaramic views of the extraordinary scenery of the Cordillera and cross the Sacred Valley and its picturesque villages. If you are travelling in Espace Safrans, you will have the chance to enjoy your trip on the Vistadome. If you are travelling in Première Classe, you will have the opportunity to travel on board the luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham. And then you will reach Machu Micchu. Your guide will tell you the secrets of the Amazing citadel of the Incas. These very stones are the stuff of dreams and imbued with history. Lunch will be served on Machu Picchu and you will have dinner when you return to the hotel after your fantastic day, whether you travelled on the Vistadome or on the Hiram Bingham.

23rd November : CUSCO - LIMA - EASTER ISLAND (flight time 1h20 + 5h30)

This morning, following your trip to Cusco or Lima, you will go back to the airport and your private jet in the direction of the famous Easter Island, which can only be reached on regular flights from Chili or Polynesia. Your World Trip will take you there directly from Peru, and you will just have enough time to get settled and enjoy your on-board meal before experiencing the amazing landing on this little spit of land which feels like the ends of the earth. You will brush shoulders with the Rano volcano, Tahai Moais and legends of Polynesian antique civilisations. Your day will end with a magical Rapa Nui show under a starlit sky.

24th November : EASTER ISLAND - TAHITI (flight time 5h40)

You will leave the Island of Giants late morning and you will just have time to have lunch on board the jet before landing in Papeete. If you are travelling in Espace Safrans you will book into your hotel in Tahiti and enjoy a relaxing day on the beach. If you are travelling in First Class you will fly off to spend some free time on a 3-night stay on Bora Bora.

- Upon arrival at Papeete, you will fly off to Moorea for a 3-night stay and to wander Papeete at your own pace, in small groups.  

- Upon arrival at Papeete, you will fly off to Tetiaroa Island to spend some free time on a 3-night stay at the Brando, a one of a kind hotel where you will be accommodated at the height of exceptional  luxury.

- Upon arrival at Papeete, you will fly off to Bora Bora to spend 3 days free time with full board. 

25th November : TAHITI 

This morning, you are going on an excursion around the Island of Tahiti to find the most amazing scenery. You will begin with the splendid panoramic view from the Taharaa to the botanical gardens via the Arahoho Blowhole, One Tree Hill and the magnificent Vaipahi gardens. The greenery is lush and shelters a beautiful waterfall. You will have the time to enjoy lunch in the midst of all these sights before continuing to luxuriate in the beauty of the Vaipahi gardens. And this sublime day will end with a trip to the Maraa caves.

Alternatives to the above programme :

- You will go an excursion into the island of Tahiti. You will get right into the heart of beautiful Polynesia’s culture and nature. Once you have crossed the Papenoo Valley, you will cross over the south side of the island to reach Lake Vaihiria, the only lake on the island, situated in the middle of a crater.

26th November : TAHITI - MOOREA - TAHITI

This morning, you are going to be taken to Moorea Island by hydrofoil for the day. During the excursion you will be able to admire the most beautiful nooks and crannies on the island and discover all its secrets. Drink in the atmosphere imbued with ukeleles and the Vahine, from the gazebo to Opunohu and Cook Bays, against a backdrop of Polynesian tattoos and omnipresent flowers. You will then enjoy a free afternoon on the beach and savour its turquoise water in an idyllic setting. In the evening your Tahitian experience will be topped off with a dinner dance show. 

27th November : TAHITI - AUCKLAND (flight time 5h50)

With the scent of you flower garden still lingering after your Polynesian experience, you will go back to your seat on the private jet, destination New Zealand. It is now time for you to experience the magical, unforgettable moment in the World Trip, the International Dateline, which gives the amazing impression of travelling through time. You are going to take off this morning and arrive tomorrow evening, even though only a 6-hour flight separates you from Auckland.

CROSSING THE INTERNATIONAL DATE LINE 

28th November : AUCKLAND

You will land in Auckland, and, due to the magic that is the change in date, you will have the whole afternoon in front of you ! You will be able to absorb a new culture straight away, that of the Maoris, which you will be introduced to during the famous Waterfront orientation tour which will take you as far as Harbour Bridge and Mount Eden.

29th November : AUCKLAND - ROTORUA - AUCKLAND 

This morning you are setting off for Rotorua, following a road through lush, green valleys. These expanses of land, inhabited by sheep and redolent with kiwis, will take you to the deepest heart of New Zealand. On this day trip tou will have the opportunity to visit the Rainbow Springs, whose geothermal influence is so essential in this region, as well as Tepuia and its geysers. Your dinner will be served upon your return from Auckland. 

Alternatives to the above programme :

- You will set off for Waiheke and a day-long flavour and gourmet discovery tour. You will have the opportunity to enjoy some wine-tasting before having lunch surrounded by the vineyards. In the afternoon you will taste wines, beers, chutney and even delicious olive oils before returning to Auckland for dinner.

30th November : AUCKLAND - CAIRNS (flight time 5h30)

This morning you are going back to the airport to fly off to Cairns. Lunch will be served on board and then you will be in kangaroo and aborigine territory. They will welcome you with open arms. As soon as you arrive, which should be in the middle of the day, you will be taken to your hotel and then make a short visit to Kouranda, an old Australian mining town whose picturesque little train and Barron Falls make it a must-visit location in the region. Your day will end with your first dinner in Australia.

1st December : CAIRNS 

Today you are leaving for the Grand Barrier Reef, the amazing UNESCO Site of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You will enjoy lunch during your excursion in the middle of these turquoise waters and, first of all, you will have the opportunity to sail on the coral sea. You will then be able to scuba-dive or go on a submarine to take a look at the whole of this universe. There is something for everyone. You will then go back onto dry land to have dinner.

2nd December : CAIRNS - HANOÏ (flight time 7h45)

This morning you are taking off for Vietnam, and you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch on board the jet before landing in Hanoï a few hours later. Once again you will experience a wonderful change of scenery and discover a new culture. If you are travelling in Espace Safrans you will watch a traditional puppet show before enjoying a typical Vietnamese evening event and dinner. If you are travelling in Première Classe, you will board a private junk to sail around the Halong Bay and savour a good Vietnamese meal before spending the night there. 

3rd December : HANOÏ (HALONG)

Hanoï is going to display its most traditional side to you. You will visit the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the Temple of Literature as well as the Tran Quoc Pagoda, which is the oldest in the city. You will also have the opportunity to travel on a rickshaw through the town and you will have lunch and some free time to stroll around the old quarters. You will then return and enjoy a Vietnamese dinner. If you are travelling in Première Classe, this second day will be spent sailing in the Halong Bay before you return to the capital to enjoy a gastronomic Vietnamese dinner.

- You can decide to go out and explore the renowned Ninh Binh, the landlocked Halong Bay. 

4th December : HANOÏ

If you are travelling in Espace Safrans, you will be offered the great opportunity to visit the mysterious Halong Bay. You will sail through the small islands and come across fishing village and caves, all bathed in a strange, enigmatic atmosphere which is sure to enchant you, before returning to Hanoï.

If you are travelling in Première Classe, now is the time to discover the curiosities and must-see sights in Hanoï. After lunch, you will have time for a stroll in the old quarters of the city and brush shoulders with the Vietnamese culture.

Your stopover will be topped off with a magnificent performance showcasing the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

5th December : HANOÏ - MANDALAY (flight time 1h20)

This morning you are setting off for Burma, arriving at Mandalay midday after a short flight. You will have the opportunity to explore this city that is considered to be the cradle of Burmese culture and Buddhist teaching. The programme will take you on a visit of the Shwenandaw Monastery and then of the Kuthodaw Pagoda where you will wonder at the largest engraved book in the world. Everything is peaceful here, like the sun setting over the river. This is a sublime prelude to your dinner which will be followed by a show where you will be enraptured by the dancers with their Burmese songs and instruments. This is surely the best way to absorb local culture. 

6th December : MANDALAY

For your second day in Burma you will set off in small groups to learn about local traditions when you reach the ancient village of Mingun. You will climb aboard small traditional Burmese boats to cross the mythical Irrawaddy river. You will visit the Pondawphaya and Settawya pagodas and then you will discover that famous Mingun bell, one of the heaviest bells in the world that is still intact. After lunch, you will explore Ava Island and enjoy a trip in a horse and carriage and get a feel for the former city of princes. You will then visit the ancient Maha Aungmyay Bonzan Monstery and the beautiful wooden Bagaya Monastery. You can enhance your evening and dinner by shopping at the local artisanal market.

7th December : MANDALAY - AGRA (flight time 3h30)

This morning you will be boarding your private jet once again and heading off to the amazing destination of India. As soon as you land you will be taken to the fabulous and astonishing Taj Mahal. This is a place of dreams, exuding such perfect symmetry and profound serenity. You will then go back to the hotel and be welcomed by a truly festive atmosphere of traditional music and dance. The dinner served later as part of the Moghole evening will allow you to try all the flavours of fine Indian gastronomic dining. 

8th December : AGRA - AMMAN - PETRA (flight time 6h15)

At the end of the morning you’ll have a quick flight to take you to Amman. By the time you have finished your on-board lunch you will be in the land of the Nabataeans, a nomadic people who were travellers ahead of their time. You will then travel along the road of kings and have time to appreciate the unique scenery before finally reaching the amazing city of Petra.

9th December : PETRA

This morning you will wake up impatient to see the most exceptional sight that the famous city of Petra has for you, the treasure that is half-built and half-sculpted out of rock and out of time. You will explore the marvels of this place and stroll between those warmly coloured rocks which are so imbued with history. Surrounded by scenery that could be from a movie-set, you will understand how sensitive these nomadic people are when you see the delicate sculptures they have made out of the rock. You will have lunch and then continue exploring. Dinner itself will also reflect the traditions of this new culture which has come to augment the scope of culture experienced in this World Trip.

We have planned the ultimate event for this last evening, set against a fantastically poignant background. You will enjoy a sumptuous party under the stars, as exotic as the Arabian Nights, and as fabulous as your World Trip.

10th December : PETRA - AMMAN - PARIS (flight time 5h00)

Today you are going to meet the Wadi Rum desert Bedouins. You are going to explore the fantastic scenery of a huge desert of undulating sand dunes in a 4x4. You will share your lunch with our hosts at a camp, very close to the local people, so you can observe their lifestyle at close quarters and understand their traditions. After this moving, dazzling experience you will once again board your private jet, this time to fly back to France. After your flight time and dinner you will be back in the French capital and World Trip will be at an end.

Our prices include :

  • Air Cruise from 19th November to 10th December 2016 on an Airbus A340 500 private jet equipped with 36 la Première Classe seats (flat bed) and 201 l’Espace Safrans seats (leg room: 34’’/86 cm arranged in rows of 2/4/2 seats). According to Class of travel, equivalent First Class or Premium Economy Class on-bord services,
  • Privileged boarding at Private Jet terminals depending on each airport, immigration formalities and baggage care.
  • Services of a full team of concierges from Paris to Paris and a French doctor.
  • Accommodation is based on double room sharing, according to programme and to the cabin travelled in, in the 5* hotels quoted.
  • Full board on the basis of 3 meals per day, some of which during flights, starting with lunch on the first day and ending with lunch on the last day.
  • Drinks on board the Private Jet: champagne, spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks etc, and drinks served with meals (wine, mineral water, beer and soft drinks).
  • All transfers, excursions and visits planned as part of the itinerary by coach, minibus, boat, 4x4, train and hovercraft.

Formalities :

  • For information purposes only, on 1st November 2015, for European citizens:
  • Electronic passport valid 6 months following return date.
  • Visa formalities will be dealt with in Vietnam, India, Burma and Jordan.
  • No vaccinations are necessary.

Conditions of registration :

  • Completed and signed registration form.
  • First instalment of 30% when booking.
  • Second instalment of 20% to be received by 18th July 2016.
  • Final instalment to be received by 19th September 2016.

Insurance :

  • Assistance / luggage / repatriation to Paris : included in the cost of the tour.
  • Cancellation insurance is optional but strongly recommended, to be contracted when booking at the cost of 6% of the total tour cost. Please refer to April International Voyage documentation, which you receive when you book, for more details. Professional Liability Insurance: policy taken out by Safrans du Monde with Hiscox Europe Underwriting Limited, 19 rue Louis Legrand – 75002 Paris to an amount of 2 000 000 euros, policy N°HA RCP0238795 in order to cover the consequences of any liability that Safrans du Monde may incur in its capacity as a tour operator, within the limits of the above-mentioned policy

Cancellation policy :

  • Safrans du Monde must be informed of any cancellation by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. The costs below will be applied in line with the date of receipt:
  • 120 days or more before departure date: 30 % of total amount of tour
  • Between 119 and 90 days before departure date: 40 % of total amount of tour
  • Between 89 and 60 days before departure date: 50 % of total amount of tour
  • Between 59 and 30 days before departure date: 75 % of total amount of tour
  • Less than 30 days before departure date: 100 % of total amount of tour

Rates and operating conditions : 

This Air Cruise operated on an Airbus A340 500 has been organised on the basis of at least 160 participants and up to a maximum of 233 participants. Alternatively, the same Air Cruise can be offered on the basis of using another type of aircraft. In this particular case, modifying the type of aircraft could also entail modifying the price of the trip. Our prices are set based upon the economic conditions in effect on 1st November, in particular as concerns prices for accommodation, transport, fuel, various taxes (tourist, security, and airport tax etc) and the exchange rates for the Brazilian real, the US Dollar, the New Zealand Dollar and the Australian Dollar. Air transport is planned in line with this tour itinerary; the airlines and types of aircraft are quoted for information purposes only and they can be changed with no notice. In view of the complex nature of this trip, the type of aircraft and/or one or several of the stopovers could be subject to modification, or even replacement, such a modification or replacement being justified to the organiser by an outside event which was unknown at the time of the brochure going to press (30th November 2015, in particular with regards to hotels and/or with regards to landing or take off authorisations to /from a planned airport). If the group does not reach at least 160 guests, the Air Cruise may be cancelled. In the case of significant modifications such as the change to the type of aircraft as a result of the number of participants, cancellation of departure if the minimum number of participants has not been attained, or modification to the price, the client shall be informed at least 21 days before departure. In each of these three specific eventualities the client will have a period of 8 days as from receipt of notification to either accept the new proposal or ask for his/her registration to be cancelled. In this particular case, the amount already paid by the client shall be refunded in full and no damages can be claimed in any case. In the same way, if the trip is forcibly cancelled because of a force majeure, the client cannot claim any damages. Any interruption of the trip which has not been instigated by the organiser cannot lead to a refund, even a partial one, of transport services or any other services unless all or part is covered by an insurance company, with this being within the limits imposed by the contract policy that has been taken out. Our prices are payable in Euros and fixed. They can in any case be revised in line with the terms described above and the general terms and conditions of sale laid out in article R.211-12 of the French Tourism Code which appears in the back of the registration form, and which is an appendix to this brochure.
