The next moment you’re across the Pacific, touring Honolulu or the exceptional Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. A World Tour also means relaxing on an idyllic tropical beach and getting a taste of the unattainable — this year, it’s the Fiji islands. Following this restful destination, you will set your sights for Australia and its cultural capital, Melbourne, repeatedly voted the “world’s most livable city,” to discover the wine route or the Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles. Asia is next, with the famous temples of Angkor, then Sri Lanka, the stuff of dreams. The incredible journey continues as you fly across the Indian Ocean in your comfortable plane and touch down in Africa, a unique destination for a World Tour! You will experience a wildlife safari in Tanzania’s Ngorongoro sanctuary, and then return to the roots in Ethiopia, the cradle of humanity. Lastly, from the Queen of Sheba to King Solomon: Jerusalem welcomes you to cap off this unique and distinctive itinerary.

An Air Cruise by Safrans du Monde is uniquely sophisticated: it can be customized to your personal taste. All visits are included in the basic program. They are small group activities, with 30, 20 or even 16 people at most, and each group is independent. However, at each tour destination, you can choose from different variations, which allow you new ways to discover places that may already be familiar to you.

ITINERARY

Las Vegas

Today’s the day! Just a few steps across the tarmac and the world of private aviation welcomes you this morning. You have met the team, and now it’s time to meet the captain, the crew and the comfort of your appointed seat on this wonderful aircraft, which we have reserved especially for you. Your World Tour begins here! The moment of taking off is magnificent, and you will really be able to enjoy it because everything has been designed for your pleasure. Our on-board chef has selected ingredients to prepare gourmet meals accompanied by a large choice of wines, your flight attendant presents you with a lovely flight kit and other accessories that make the difference, and you are on your way to America. Through the magic of time zones, your plane touches down at midday and before you know it, you’re off on a panoramic tour of “the Entertainment Capital of the World.” The next day will be devoted to the Grand Canyon and, in the evening, Las Vegas will offer you the stunning spectacle of the Cirque du Soleil or a concert featuring Céline Dion.

Honolulu

Today, after a pleasant lunch over the Pacific Ocean aboard your private jet, you land on the island of Oahu. Ukuleles, Hawaiian shirts and the ease of the tropics: it’s all there. You are already seeing the capital city of Honolulu, its ‘Iolani Palace, and even an inland pineapple plantation. The next day, you will step into the history of World War II with a visit to Pearl Harbor. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy at the hotel or on one of Waikiki’s lively beaches, followed in the evening by a grand Polynesian luau with a performance of traditional Hawaiian dance.

Melbourne

A quick flight takes you to Australia and its cultural capital, Melbourne, which welcomes you at the very moment of the Rugby League World Cup! You will see the city’s distinctive neighborhoods, in which the singular style of Victorian England is nestled in the heart of a modern, New World city filled with avant-garde architecture. Melbourne is a bold city… You will also take a trip along the wine route through the beautiful countryside with its fertile fields and lovely climate. And of course you will visit a vineyard for a memorable tasting of wines that are worthy of the best vineyards of old Europe. Since the World Cup is being played, your evenings will most certainly be quite spirited. If you like, you can even attend a quarter-final match. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be able to cheer for the French team!

Angkor

It’s time to bid a fond farewell to Oceania. Your “home in the skies” awaits you this afternoon to whisk you off to Asia, a continent ready to welcome you with open arms. You are in Cambodia… another total change of scene! In Angkor, you will have the opportunity to visit the legendary temples on foot, in a scooter-drawn carriage (tuk-tuk), or by helicopter (additional fee). Among the sites you will visit are the emblematic Bayon temple with its dozens of enigmatically smiling faces carved in stone, the Ta Phrom temple gripped by the giant roots of trees and the ancient city of Angkor Thom. This wonderful three-day stopover will also give you a full day free to relax, unless the magic of these ancient places entices you to see even more… If so, you can opt for one of the many variations of small group visits that are available. To round out your stay, you will take part in a sumptuous private evening gala at the Thommanon temple, including a performance by the troupe of sacred dancers of the Royal Ballet of Cambodia sponsored by Princess Buppha Devi, eldest daughter of Norodom Sihanouk, the former King of Cambodia.

Sri Lanka

This morning, you spend a few short hours on the plane and have a gourmet lunch, before touching down in Sri Lanka at midday. Colombo, the capital and jewel of the former British Empire, is ready for you to discover, from its colorful markets to the colonial buildings of the famous fort district. The next day will be devoted to the city of Kandy. You will arrive by helicopter and depart by road (or vice versa), which will give you the chance to appreciate the beautiful landscape of rolling green hills. Your stay on the sapphire island will include a visit to one of the tea estates, where, of course, you will have the chance to sample their fine teas. You will also visit the temple of the Relic of the Tooth of Buddha, one of Buddhism’s most sacred places. The majesty of nature and the sacred atmosphere of this endearing country with its peaceful inhabitants make Sri Lanka a pleasant and intriguing destination. And, as for the grand finale of this leg of your journey, well, we’re saving that for a surprise!

Ngorongoro

Now you head west to Africa, where you will have the pleasure of visiting another continent. Kilimanjaro watches proudly as we land, and now it’s time to cross the savannah, with its acacias and imposing baobab trees. The pure air is a promise that the sunset will be splendid. The next day, you awake to an authentic African scene. When you open the curtains and listen to the silence, you can imagine the animals off in the distance, and you know this will be an unforgettable day, for today you will experience a wildlife safari in the Ngorongoro crater. Out in the middle of nature, we will surprise you with a unique and unexpected picnic. Back at the lodge, you will have the chance to relive the day by looking at your own photos and, over dinner, sharing those taken by others, which will only add to the beauty of the starry night.
Note : If you are traveling La Première, your safari will be aerial and free-ranging. Because we will be visiting Ngorongoro and the Serengeti at just the right time, you will have a very good chance of seeing the amazing spectacle of the seasonal migration.

Addis Abeba

This morning, the route across the savannah is as thrilling and lively as ever! Even as you’re taking off, you’ll still be taking farewell photos of Tanzania. A couple of hours on the plane and you are in Ethiopia, where you will tour Addis Abeba and the former palace of the Negus, which is now home to an ethnological museum. The next day, a short trip south of the capital will take you far back in time as you visit ancient Melka Kunture and Tiya. Both of these are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, for they preserve the traces of the origins of humanity. You will also have the chance to visit Adadi Mariam, a monolithic church carved into the rock in the thirteenth century, in the style of the famous churches of Lalibela. In the evening, you will take part in a celebration featuring dance and traditional Ethiopian cuisine.

Jerusalem

Aboard your private jet, you will travel from Ethiopia to the Holy Land, just as the Queen of Sheba came to meet King Solomon in Jerusalem, a city that is at the heart of both history and modernity. At the Tower of David, you will attend a sound and light show that retraces the millennial history of this city. The next day, you will explore the Old City of Jerusalem, the crossroads of religions. After a moment of meditation at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the culminating point of the Via Dolorosa, you will enter the Armenian Quarter, which leads to the Jewish Quarto, from the Cardo to the Wailing Wall. Of course you will also have a breathtaking view of the golden dome of the Al Aqsa Mosque, and an even more expansive panorama awaits you at the top of the Mount of Olives. Price per person:

Our prices include:

• An Air Cruise from November 11 to December 1, 2017 on a private plane, in First Class (flat-bed), Club Safrans (145° inclined seat) or Espace Safrans (seats in rows of 2-4-2 with more space between seats than in regular lines). Depending on the cabin, on-board services and amenities of First Class or Business Class quality (for Club Safrans and Espace Safrans), boarding privileges, immigration formalities and baggage handling. Round-trip, Paris-to-Paris services of a Cruise Director and his team, including a flight service manager, a chef, a baggage manager, tour guides, ground service coordinators, a cameraman and a French physician. Accommodation in a shared double room as indicated in 5 star or 4 star hotels or similar but in different hotels for La Première passengers. Full board of 3 meals per day, some of which are in-flight, starting with lunch on the first day and continuing to dinner on the final day. Beverages when on board the Private jet: champagne, spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks etc… and drinks with meals (wine, mineral water, beer and soft drinks). All transfers. Excursions and visits as indicated in the program, including coach, minibus, boat, and 4X4 travel. • Pre-tour and post-tour Paris travel package including domestic flights, 3 transfers and 2 nights in a 4 star hotel: +€715 per person.
• Cancellation (only) insurance: 6% of the trip price.

Formalities:

• For informational purposes only, valid as of 31 January 2017 for French nationals: a biometric passport valid for 6 months after the date of return. Visas, required for Fiji, Cambodia and Ethiopia. No vaccines are required.

Conditions of Registration:

• The registration form, duly completed and signed. An initial payment of 30% to be paid on booking. Second payment of 20% to be received before July 10, 2017. Remaining balance to be received before September 8, 2017.

Insurances:

• Assistance/baggage/repatriation insurance: included in the price of the tour. Optional cancellation insurance (highly recommended), to be purchased when booking: 6% of the total price of the tour. For detailed policy terms and conditions, please refer to the April International Voyage brochure provided at the time of subscription. Professional liability insurance: provided to Safrans du Monde by Hiscox France, 19, rue Louis Legrand, 75002 Paris, in the amount of €2,000,000, HA RCP Policy 0238795, and covering the professional liability that Safrans du Monde may incur as a travel operator, within the terms and limits of the aforementioned policy

Conditions of Cancellation:

• Safrans du Monde must be informed of any cancellation by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. The costs below will be applied in line with the date of receipt:
• 120 days or more before departure date: 30 % of total amount of tour
• Between 119 and 90 days before departure date: 40 % of total amount of tour
• Between 89 and 60 days before departure date: 50 % of total amount of tour
• Between 59 and 30 days before departure date: 75 % of total amount of tour
• Less than 30 days before departure date: 100 % of total amount of tour

Rates and operating conditions : 

• This Air Cruise, with travel by private, long-haul, type B767 aircraft, has been planned on the basis of a minimum of 130 participants and a maximum of 167 participants. If the required minimum number of participants is not reached, the same Air Cruise may be offered with travel by another type of aircraft. In this specific case, the modification of the type of aircraft may incur a modification of the price and/or the itinerary of the tour. Our prices are established with reference to the prevailing economic conditions on January 31, 2017, in particular as regards prices of accommodation, transport, fuel, miscellaneous taxes (hotel, security, airport, etc.) and exchange rates of the US Dollar and the Australian Dollar. Air transport is provided in accordance with the present travel program; airlines and aircraft types are provided for informational purposes only and are subject to change without notice. Given the complexity of this tour, the type of aircraft and/or one or more tour destinations may by modified or replaced if required by circumstances beyond the tour organizer’s control that were unforeseeable at the time of publication of the tour program brochure on January 31, 2017, in particular as regards hotels and/or authorizations for landing at and taking off from any airports as planned. If the group of tour participants does not reach a minimum of 130 people, the Air Cruise may be canceled. If there are significant changes, such as replacement of the type of aircraft as a result of the number of participants, cancellation of the tour as a result of an insufficient number of participants, or a change in the price of the tour, clients will be informed no later than 21 days before the scheduled date of departure. In each of the aforementioned 3 cases, the client will have a period of 8 days from the reception of the notification either to accept the new travel program or to request the cancellation of his or her booking. If all of these specific conditions are met, the client will be fully reimbursed of all amounts paid. However, no compensation for damages incurred will be provided. Similarly, if the tour is canceled due to circumstances of force majeure, no compensation for damages incurred will be provided. Any interruption of the tour that is not caused by the organizer will not be reimbursed in whole or in part, nor will any fees incurred for transport or other services, unless these are covered in whole or in part by an insurance company, and only within the limits of the insurance policy subscribed. Our prices are firm and are payable in Euro; however, they are subject to modification, in accordance with the conditions described above and the terms of the general conditions of sale of articles L211-7 and L211-17 of the Code of Tourism, which can be found on the back of the Registration Form appended to this brochure.

• All claims are to be submitted to Safrans du Monde by registered mail with acknowledgement of delivery as soon as possible and no later than 20 days following the date of return. Please include supporting documents with your letter.
