Day 1: HOME – ANTANANARIVO

Morning departure for Antananarivo.

Day 2: ANTANANARIVO – ANJOZOROBE

Discover the historical landmarks of the capital before heading to Anjozorobe. At dusk, embark on a guided forest excursion to encounter the world's smallest primate: the Microcebus, a type of nocturnal lemur.

Day 3: ANJOZOROBE

Start the day with a morning hike through the forest. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in a nearby village to experience the rural lifestyle of Madagascar's highlands.

Day 4: ANJOZOROBE – ANTSIRABE

Journey to Antsirabe, traversing the highlands and admiring traditional houses along the way. Arrive in the spa town of Antsirabe in the late afternoon.

Day 5: ANTSIRABE

Begin the day with a hike through the countryside of Antsirabe, followed by a walking or rickshaw tour of the town. Discover the artists and artisans of the city and soak in the atmosphere of the Highlands, with its preserved Merina houses and colonial buildings. Continue exploring local crafts, including a semi-precious stone workshop, an embroidery studio, and an artisanal confectionery.

Day 6: ANTSIRABE – FIANARANTSOA

Head towards Fianarantsoa with a stop in Ambositra. This high-altitude town serves as the commercial hub for the Zafimaniry tribes, where artisans from remote villages sell exquisite woodcraft. Explore the town and visit a sculptor’s workshop before continuing to Fianarantsoa.

Day 7: FIANARANTSOA

Spend the morning at Ranomafana National Park. Spanning over 41,600 hectares of rainforest, the park hosts a rich variety of endemic flora and fauna. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007, its trails cater to different fitness levels, offering encounters with rare lemur species and unique plant life.

Day 8: FIANARANTSOA – RANOHIRA

Travel south, stopping in Ambalavao, home to one of Madagascar's largest cattle markets and a prominent wine region. Visit the traditional Antaimoro paper workshop and the Anja Reserve. Continue through the Southern Gates and the Horombe Plateau, entering the Bara territory with its rocky landscapes and sacred stones.

Days 9 & 10: RANOHIRA

Transfer to the base of the Isalo Massif to begin your exploration of the site on foot. Over two days, enjoy nature trails and relax in the natural swimming pool.

Day 11: RANOHIRA – TULEAR

Depart early for Toliara, passing through sapphire mining villages. Along the way, marvel at Madagascar’s unique vegetation, including baobabs, aloes, and euphorbia, as well as the striking Mahafaly tombs. Explore the coastal track to Saint Augustin Bay in a Ranger vehicle.

Day 12: TULEAR – ANKASY

Embark on a thrilling 4x4 journey to Ankasy, navigating fine sandy tracks.

Days 13 & 14: ANKASY

Spend two days at leisure in the idyllic setting of Ankasy. Relax at the hotel or enjoy activities such as water sports, jeep, or quad excursions to the nearby village of Tsiandamba, or exploring the Fianamarasay lagoon, where you can spot flamingos.

Day 15: ANKASY – TULEAR – ANTANANARIVO

Enjoy your final morning at the beautiful Ankasy beach. Transfer to Tulear airport for your flight back to Antananarivo.

Day 16: ANTANANARIVO – HOME

Say goodbye to Madagascar and its treasures. Depart early for the international airport in Antananarivo, arriving home.
